Stainless Steel 316L 3D Printing Material
Stainless Steel 316L is a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel alloy widely used in metal 3D printing due to its exceptional corrosion resistance, high strength, and excellent ductility. These properties make it an ideal choice for applications in aerospace, medical, and industrial sectors where components must withstand harsh environments while maintaining precision and durability.
We offer two material options:
-Stainless Steel 316L
-Stainless Steel 17-4 PH
Stainless Steel 316L is primarily composed of iron (Fe), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), and a low carbon content, enhancing its resistance to corrosion and oxidation. At room temperature, the density is approximately 7.85 g/cm³, with a melting point around 1375–1400°C.Exhibits high tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation, making it suitable for demanding applications.
Stainless Steel 316L is compatible with various metal additive manufacturing processes, including Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF), Electron Beam Melting (EBM), and Binder Jetting. Each process offers unique advantages in terms of precision, material utilization, and scalability.
To enhance the mechanical properties and surface finish of Stainless Steel 316L parts, post-processing techniques such as heat treatment, machining, and surface finishing are recommended.
